my surgery was actually to seal off the little hole i have in the back of my retina, not to correct for prescription… hence it was covered by health care. i think lazer eye correction is at least a few grand, but similar procedure…
nothing touched my eyeball, it was like someone taking photos of my eye using extremely bright light… at first it didn’t hurt, merely uncomfortable… but then at the end i think he might’ve hit some nerves or sth cos i felt sth sting at the back of my neck >.< they gave me eyedrops ~5times, those kinda stung… but it was to open the retina more… eyes were super sensitive afterwards to light, think its due to chemicals + lazer… they felt sore after… it took ~5 minutes or so for one eye.
i did this surgery cos i ‘had’ to, but i dunno if i’d voluntarily do the prescription correction one cos i’m still scared there’d be side effects….
